(as told from Tasha’s point of view)
Things sure were different this morning. Mom and Dad left early in the morning and mom never gets up early. I was left to sit and wonder all day where they went and all I could do was wait and wait for them to return. Mom came back very excited about getting someone’s autograph on a TV program she grew up watching. She said his name was Henry Winkler, The Fonz. She told me that she and dad went to the Los Angeles Times Book Festival and she went on and on about seeing Julie Andrews and getting a signature from the author Mary Higgins Clark. I really wish I knew what she was talking about, but she seemed to be happy so I kept wagging my tail. I know she must have added to her collection of books because I didn’t see her cleaning last night from my viewpoint on the back porch so she was probably reading. Mom sure likes to read a lot. When I go in the house I see lots and lots of books in all the rooms.
