From the voice of Sassy

Just when I try to figure these humans out they go and change things on me. About two weeks ago I had just settled down for a long winters nap when out on the lawn there arose such a clatter. I woke up and what to my wondering eyes did appear but, damn a 7 foot pine tree was standing in the middle of the living room. It looked a true, it smelled like a tree and I could hide in as I would any tree, but why was it in the house?  Then I watched them put sparkly things on it, they called them lights, then they hung what they call ornaments. I called them toys and got to bat them around when mom wasn’t looking. Now, tonight they pulled all that stuff of the tree and took it outside. I’ll never understand these humans.

  1. Morgan Mandel Says:

I played chicken and didn’t put up a tree, only a small fiber optic one on the end table. I was too afraid of what my dog, Rascal, would do. This is a dog who goes into my pockets and grabs gloves, opens drawers in plastic chests in the closet and grabs knit hats, eats rubber bands and anything else that falls on the floor.

Maybe when she’s older I’ll put up a large tree again.
